My name is Mayara Gimenes, and I recently moved to San Diego from the east coast due to my husband’s job relocation. I am from Brazil and graduated Electrical Engineering and now looking for service jobs that I’ve always loved doing. A position such as this is exactly what I’ve been doing and what I’m interested in – particularly my love of cooking and baking (both of which I like to do at home).
In 2019, I worked as a barista at Nordstrom in Newark, Delaware, for seven months. My responsibilities included crafting beverages, preparing fresh ingredients for smoothies, preparing bagels, restocking products, and operating the cash register while handling transactions.
It trained me to multitask and improve my language skills so I can offer a friendly and comfortable experience for customers while working in a rush.
